Community Benchmark Class Specifications
Under the Job Classification Plan (JCP), the benchmark class specifications (benchmarks) are the sole criteria for the classification of jobs in the Community Subsector. Each benchmark contains a Scope and Level Definition and a list of Typical Functions and Responsibilities by which jobs or positions are distinguished and classified under the JCP.
The benchmarks do not describe specific jobs, and therefore cannot be used as job descriptions. They do cover a diversity of jobs by identifying the scope and level of responsibilities.
The benchmarks are divided into 7 job families. The job families are:
- [1] Client Services
- [2] Health Services
- [3] Administrative Services
- [4] Food Services
- [5] Environmental Services
- [6] Transportation Services
- [7] Miscellaneous
