Launch your Industrial Relations career in British Columbia

Embark on your Industrial Relations career with an intensive 12-month internship at HEABC, one of Canada’s leading health care labour relations organizations.

Our Industrial Relations internship program provides recent graduates with hands-on, meaningful work experiences and face-to-face opportunities to prepare you for a career as a:

  • Labour Relations Officer/Advisor
  • Industry Lead
  • Mediator/Arbitrator
  • Negotiator
About the program

HEABC’s 12-month paid internships offer the opportunity to work as part of a team of industry specialists learning the complex and dynamic ropes of health care labour relations in collective bargaining and negotiations, contract interpretation, hearings and arbitrations and involvement in committee work. The program is designed to expose interns to a variety of human resources and labour relations issues affecting BC’s health employers, as well as the opportunity to work jointly with a variety of industry partners internally and externally in the field.

Eligibility

New and recent graduates (past calendar year) from accredited Canadian universities with postgraduate degrees in industrial relations or law are eligible to apply.

Outline how you meet our eligibility requirements and be sure to include any relevant courses and work experience. Submit your essay or video along with a resume to internships@heabc.bc.ca.
